What computer equipment do we service?

We will service any machine with Microsoft Windows 98 SE or later version operating system. We do not service Macs, as we like to stick to what we know best. We will in most cases be able to trouble shoot and configure your peripherals, such as printers, scanners, webcams etc.

Will you come to my house?

To offer you the best value for money our services can be delivered in one of 3 ways:

  • remote support is the most cost effective option - ask your nerd for details;
  • a service in our Service Centre gives you the peace of mind that comes with fixed pricing for agreed services;
  • finally, some customers prefer an 'on site' and we can arrange this too.
What if I just want some advice before committing to an on site visit?

Sure, this is in fact what we are about! When you call Nerd Central you are not just connected to a booking service and passed onto a contractor. In most cases a skilled nerd will be able to trouble shoot the technical issue during the initial call and will advise you which service option would be best:

  • remote support is the most cost effective and many issues can be resolved over the phone or internet;
  • dropping your computer into our Service Centre or having it picked up;
  • finally, an on site visit may be the best way to address the issues.
